I've uploaded all of the EDAs in PDF versions to this folder on mediafire. They all should be in order. For Fitz fans, his first appearance is in book nineteen The Taint and (excepting The Burning through Father Time) he's in every other book after that. You can find a more detailed list with who's in each book on Wikipedia and you can find summaries of each book at The Doctor Who Reference Guide.

Though all of these books are out of print, you can also support your public library, local used bookstore or online retailers (ebay, abebooks, amazon marketplace, etc) by checking out or buying the print versions. It is nice to have the good ol' paper versions.

Please let me know if any of the links don't work or if mediafire doesn't work for you so I can find a better solution!

And so this isn't just a resource post: what are some of your favorite EDAs? Which would you recommend to someone that hasn't read any of them?

THe Taking of Planet Five is great, but depends too much on outside continuity to be really good for a newbie, alas

I've always loved 'Deadstone Memorial', 'Seeing I', ‘The Crooked World’ and 'Vampire Science'.

'Vampire Science' and ‘The Crooked World’ are probably the only two that you can pick up immediately, though.

Oh god my favorites... The Blue Angel obviously, because I love metafictional mindscrewy things. EarthWorld is so fabulous for the entire cast. I really love the worldbuilding of Unnatural History. And anything Stephen Cole writes is good for a fast, fun read.

But to start on? I dunno. UH might be a good place to start unless you care about Sam, I guess...

Fantastic! Thank you, I will be grabbing the ones I don't have as bandwidth allows.

I've picked up a few as I've found them over the past few years in secondhand shops but they are difficult to find especially here in NZ as many were never released here originally.

Apparently BBC are re releasing a few - I spotted them on book depository a couple of weeks back so will be ordering them as I'm able.

I really need a Fitz/8th Doctor icon.

I read about it on a Dr Who comm on goodreads.com. Also on bookdepository.co.uk there are several titles listed as available on pre-order which seems to confirm it.

I've grabbed the gaps in my collection. Thank you :)

I did have an issue with one file that wouldn't download for me though. The Crooked World.

It got as far as download starting but the box with the save to dialogue in never happened so I couldn't get it. I tried it several times but no luck. The rest were fine.

That worked fine. Thank you so much :)

I did wonder if that other was because I am on dialup but the others worked fine. One of those weird things.

*gasp* All of them? O_O

Thank you, you're brilliant! ^_^

((I've been moved from "Twenty-Fourth Person My Local Bookshop Calls In Case Of DW Books" up to the twenty-second, because apparently someone moved away, so I might have a slightly better shot at getting some of them IRL....))

Aahh, picking favourites? Anachrophobia, The Banquo Legacy, Alien Bodies, Camera Obscura, Interference.

As for a good place to start? Well, I started with Interference, and then moved on to History101. So... not like that.

Oh, thank you so much! I've been waiting years to read Ancestor Cell and Year of Intelligent Tigers...

Of the ones I have read, of course those by Paul Magyrs, and also Unnatural History because it had such wonderful chemistry between the characters and Dark Sam was so sympathetic.

Thank you very, very much for this! :D

I think my favorite EDAs are probably "City of the Dead", and "Seeing I." I loved how "Seeing I" actually made Sam likable, and "City of the Dead" was just plain silly fun.
